My lovely little Claymore is up for sale - this one's totally unmolested, in fabulous condition, working perfectly and sounding great. Bags of drive too. Superb phonostage included within (MM & MC).

I paid £200 for this about a year ago, so would like to see that back - Claymores have been reaching c£250 on the Bay of E recently but would much rather this went to a fellow forum member who would give it a good home. :)

Of course pick-up from Scalford would be no problem, and in fact preferred.

Please pm if interested. :)

Are you REALY sure about this Richard? I feel really guilty if I stirred the poo a while back, and after the disaster of you selling the M75-SAS, I'd hate you to think you've made another rash mistake.....

Just had an hour listening to my new Sony ES amp (it's been warming up overnight) and so far it's sounding superb, and it's got a surprisingly good phonostage too. :stalks:

And what's really helped with my room issues is - yes really - the 'dreaded' tone controls. Once notch down on the bass and all is well. Even if it didn't sound quite as good as the Claymore - it's different rather than better or worse - it's worth it for the ability to lose the bass bloom. :)

Which Sony is it? Some of them were really good and I agree about tone controls - if properly designed, they don't appear to get in the way and for general tone-tilt duties, they can be indispensable :)

Sony have had a patchy record for audio product sonics. They have genuinely scaled the heights to the summit with some models, yet in the same year, they've had other products that were truly dire...

Lovely amps those,I had one for a while quite some years back on loan from a dealer.
A friend of mine eventually bought it,I often wondered what happened to it.
