Picture the scene:

It's springtime, March in fact. In Joseph's humble carpenters shop, he's working late in the little office at the back.

No matter how he's tried in the past few months, he can't seem to keep the business afloat. Times are really starting to look tough - could be the start of a credit crunch or something.

Mary comes looking for him & finds him huddled over the accounts and a huge stack of bills. - "Joseph, your dinner's going cold. Oh, what's wrong, why are you so sad"

He replies - "This business is haemorrhaging cash, hand over fist - if we don't get a big order soon, maybe for a few conservatories or something, we're going to end up bankrupt"

Mary says - "Well what do you suggest we do?"

Joseph just sighs and says - "I don't know Mary, I just don't know. But somehow we're going to have to find a way to make a little prophet"

I enjoyed this one so much I told it over Christmas dinner to my in-laws who are deeply religious. It went down well. Thanks Wazoo :)
