Split counterweights, replacement of metal knife edge with substitute material, different external arm cable attachment on base of arm, different external wire and availability of removable headshell.

Sussed all that. Ended up with a II improved so lightweight arm. Back to mm mind you it came with a V15 III but no stylus. Ithink I'll be getting one off those SAS jobbys

The 3009:S2 Improved has detachable headshell..The 3009 Series II Improved has Fixed Headshell & has a lower effective mass than the S2 Imp
