View Full Version : TDL RTL2 Speakers
Hi All
downsizing on the speakers i currently own and these are sat doing nothing,
Pair of TDL RTL 2 speakers, in good condition, slight damage to the corner of one,
Did some research on these and apparently can be modded quite easily to enhance the sound
Il grab some photos in the morning,
Im after £40 for them,
Located in Taunton.
Good price and great classics, especially if they're the original version.
Someone should buy these, get the boxes properly veneered (there's enough internal bracing with the long port (the "RTL" bit) to keep the chipboard from vibrating all over the place) and fit a better tweeter capacitor (6.8uF from memory) and maybe add half an ohm to the inline resistor for this.
The Series 2 "SE" can also be breathed on, but it's different for this model..
Hope someone gives 'em a decent home....
Still regret not winning a pair of Studio 1Ms about a year ago... I've had my eyes set on a pair of TDL's for as long as I can remember - bout 20 years - Telford is too far for me and I would be hung drawn and quartered if I was to come home with a pair of these just at the moment - but good luck with the sale - that is a very reasonable price and a bargain for someone.

That is a good price. A very good price. I was looking for a pair recently, even put a wanted post on here...
But I'm in london, so too far, and too costly to courier. And I'm saving instead for a set of IPL transmission lines.
Put them on eBay - you'll easily find someone local willing to pay around £50.

I would love to have them off you but would need posting :(
I could always arrange a courier if you think it possible to pack them ?

Where abouts are you? i know a few people who go up and down the motorway for buisness, so could see what they would want to take them up somewhere? or i could pack them up as two parcels but i would have to get some cardboard and stuff from somewhere!

Right down in deepest darkest Cornwall :D
Wouldnt mind paying for your time/materials to pack them. My brother has asked me to build him his first hi-fi for 10 years & I think they would be perfect as budget is £100 all in.
