Replacement power cord cable NAD C352

Hello all, it's been ages since I used this forum but you guys have always been helpful so return I do. A while ago I was moving some things around, disconnected amp and hi fi and there it sat dormant until yesterday. However whilst reconnecting, I noticed that I had lost the power cord cable. The NAD C352 has a 2 pin connection but all of my other cables have 3 pins, so the other power cords don't fit right. As a result, I can get the LED's to light up but there is no power coming from the amp other than that. So I presume I need a new power cord, not looking for anything fancy, just something to fit the back of my NAD.

A standard IEC mains lead will do just fine - the lack of an earth pin in the socket is not a problem.

The little fig8 plug doesn't have the current handling IIRC but a double insulated chassis is fine with a two-pin IEC socket, as were the later UK made Audiolabs I remember.

Okay, sorry to be vague, the light is changing to green, so it's out of standby mode, but no sound is coming through. I have tried a few different ports and the same outcome. I have noticed that there is no light inside the grill, which is the transformer?

It's not the power lead if the LED is lit.

A cable would have been the cheapest option, bang goes that hope.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but if the amp is getting power to light the LED, then the power lead is doing it's job.

Are there any internal fuses ?

I'll check the fuses, but I doubt it will be, am not that lucky!

Haha, the problem is I really liked that amp it's a voyage into the unknown again when looking for a new one. Well, plus new/ex dem beyond 400.00 is out of the question really, so it means I have to venture down the second hand out most likely. Therefore I shall be buying blindly which is unfortunate but the reality.

A thought - you do have the jumper bars in place between the pre ans power stages, don't you?

Could you not get it repaired? Could be something simple, might be worth a score to have a once over?

Sorry, when I say a light, I meant I thought I should be able to see a light inside? there is one light through the grilles that I can see but not sure how many there should be lol.
I could get someone with a little bit of a clue to give it a once over. I am just fearful about how much this will end up costing :drugs:

I don't reckon there is any light inside so I wouldn't worry about that. It powers up so my guess is something quite simple is wrong. Get it checked, don't pay more than £20 for the check either, some places take up to £70 then when you go back they tell you 'I've looked it over and it's knackered, mate.'

Will try and get it looked at cheaply, will have to look for places in my neck of the woods that carries out that type of work.
