Here is something most of us can appreciate, did you ever build your own crystal set. fussing with it late at night and getting it to work well just before bed time.
I built a few sets back in the 70's but this guy takes it to the next level!
It would make a nice father son project when Conner gets a little bigger.

I did love to play with my cat's whisker in the late 60's and 70's..
Looks like something from a Doctor Who set

This one is for me: Big coil and big tube
In the 60's, I had a Philips electronic set and one of the projects was to make up a little radio. I bought a transformer coupled 8"? speaker at a jumble sale (should have kept it in mint condition :( but was too young to appreciate it) and the sound was superb as I recall.
Them were the days.....

That mini Les Paul looks nice.
I see he's modified things on the back of it too, with a reshaping around the body and neck join (just like the Gibson Les Paul Axcess), and a comfort contour for those of a more rotund nature (like me).
The Arch Tops are lovely

It also reminds me from the device that made me forgot what I have done in the night out, the times that I have blissfully forgotten . Alcohol is still highly controlled by the government in Scandinavia.

Gee, am I old, played with crystal radios back in the 5o's dangling aerial l wires out of the bedroom window to pick up radio Luxembourg. So I could listen to Dan Dare preceded by the Olavantines before progresing to listening to the latest craze from the US non other than Bill Hayley etc.. :eyebrows:
