Extraordinarily good price, but puzzling specifications and description. Possibly you load it from the computer to onboard 8GB storage via usb :scratch: or attach a drive? System display over hdmi?
Possibly a cut down Tvix clone.....

Sorry Ali, I meant the connection to the computer to which they referred must be via usb acting as an external drive to load the internal 8Gb.
Somebody will try it at that price and hopefully give a verdict...

Ah yes, didn't think of that. I presume a HD loaded with FLAC would just attach directly, though you'd have to connect it via HDMI via the telly in order to use it?

I've got the Cyclone 2 (earlier bigger model with a HD drawer) I use it for video and it's ok.
Interface is a bit clunky but then most are.
Not tried it with music, SB touch is on the shelf alongside it, but I could just as easily point it at the music folder on my network and give it a go.

If I get chance I'll give it a go today and report back.

You can do both - copy movie to it and take it to telly, or attach a hdd or usb dvd drive, or use a sd card.
System display over hdmi or composite connection. It will works with any telly, old or new, and it is small - good if you need to take a movies or photos to different places. It takes a power from usb, so any adaptor (mobile charger, kindle charger, or some battery pack) will be fine.
Probably useless as music player because interface and management is very basic, just a browsing and press play on a file (not on a foder).
For same reason it did not work with my computer monitor (dvi input, hdmi->dvi adaptor), however it was fine with tv.
