How can I be a Senior Member when I have so few posts under my belt? :stalks: (My member is by no means senior )

Not that I'm complaining, but I was wondering what the various User Ranks are and how many posts are required to meet each one.

Can anybody offer enlightenment?

Lenny

Hi Lenny,

We can call you something else, if you like :)

Hi Marco,

Can I be called 'Impressive Member' :eyebrows:? It sort of goes with the name.

How long do you have to be here before your known as a floppy member.

Well, I notice that you have made 69 posts... unlikely to be a floppy member. Perhaps "upstanding member" would be a more apt moniker?

IMO this title should be reserved for members who don't post for 3 months ;)

Excellent idea Dave! How about it Marco?

I like it - could easily be done. We'd just have to create a new User Group.

It would depend on whether the members who qualify would have any objections to their new title! ;)

Isn't this discrimination? What about lady members? There are a few!

In case these bespoke titles get rolled out across the board, could I reserve "Grumpy Old Git", please? I suspect there's many here that would qualify for that one . .

Anyone wondering about a straight answer to the original question ;)

You automatically get designated as a 'Senior Member' at 100 posts... but given we've members who have 10 times that number maybe we need to get a bit cleverer... 'Adolescent Member' at 100 posts. 'Middle Aged Member' at 250 and 'Old Aged Pensioner' at 500

Revered Sage
Audio Wizard
All-Knowing Being

How about, for 10,000 posts (excl.Marco of course):
Someone With No Life

:D

Apparently there's no pleasing some folk!!:( . My original thought was 'Antique' but I thought 'Vintage' had better audio associations. Think of the fun you could have had with 'Antique' ;) .

If I changed my avatar to the one above, one of our moggies, could I change my description to 'Pussy Man'?

That pussy is far less distressing than your wobbly man bits, Dave - though my real-life avatar always laughed at "Wobbly Dave" - and I don't think the cat will have quite the same effect! (But she does love looking at the cat and kitten pictures on here and going "awww" too!)

DaveK

Hi Alex,
TBH it was not really a serious request to change my description, I just did it for the 'humour' side of it, but I can live with it for a while ;) .
BTW I wasn't aware that Amazon were in the 'under the gooseberry bush' business - I never did believe that story anyway so it's nice to know where you really get them from. Problem is I don't remember ordering my two but it is over 40 years ago now  .
Coincidentally, my avatar likes climbing into cardboard boxes too :) .

Rich, tell her she has nothing to worry about - you're still only in the Top 275 of AoS Posters. Then tell her about Marco's post count & she'll think you're a Saint!

Marco appears to be feeling like a bit of a tinker tonight, so be very careful about what you ask for mate!
The 'R' on a qwerty keyboard is very close to the 'W'.... one slip of a digit and you could have a reputation for yourself!
