Morning all
Moving into the final stage of my Thorens TD150 rebuild. I've made plinth mk2 same size as the LP12 so I can use some hinges from same.
Could someone confirm the thickness of the lid material which i suspect to be 4mm?

Thanks Brian, got hinges already so verniered them , they take 4.23mm hence figured the cover would be 4mm, just wanted to confirm. Belt and braces approach, couldn't really be anything else could it

Useful info Andre, ta.
Anyway ordered a lid from a plastics company that someone on AOS mentioned 'cos I refuse to pay the silly money being asked for these things on auction sites.
cheers guys

Mike. Cheaper than official product but may be more than you want to pay.

Yeah I came across that and in the normal course of events I'd be happyish with the price, but work for the self employed joiner is a little tight so every penny counts.
Actually I'm finding a great deal of enjoyment in trying to 'fettle' as they say in Lancashire, for as little as possible, made some adjustable feet for my turntable out of oak using a hole saw, bit of threaded bar and three 6mm ball bearings....cost? Nowt. Satisfaction? Huge.....:)
Thanks for the thought though
Simon
I'd be interested in your Rega lid - tried to PM you but it didn't work for some reason
Thanks
