Pls help: WM8716SEDS vs WM8716SEDS/V vs WM8716SEDS/RV

Can anyone tell what the difference is - if any - between the DAC's mentioned above? The WM8716SEDS is not available anymore, but the WM8716SEDS/V is. Can I just use that one instead? I want to put it in my Beresford TC-7510.

The WM8716SEDS/V is the latest production version, which is why you can't get the older one anymore :).

If you intend to replace the PCM1716 for the WM8716 in the TC-7510, then you also need to carry out the wire mod. Otherwise it won't work.

Replacing the PCM1716 also requires the addition of two extra wire links.

1. Solder a wire link between WM8716 pin-15 and EC14 positive terminal
2. Solder a wire link between EC13 positive terminal and EC14 positive terminal.
