Kuzma Analogue Day, Hotemaze in Slovenia. A day long event when anyone could come and see (and hear) all the Kuzma products, listen to well reproduced music, see friends... I just had a brief stop there, not much time unfortunately. So I only had a quick listen to Kuzma new Stabi M turtable with 4Point tonearm. I took a few pictures, but I was trying not to bother listeners with constant click-click and flashes... ;)

Unfortunately, one does not simply take close-up photo of Stabi XL turntable. I guess it has something to do with the mass of brass plinths, gravitational lensing and event horizon...

:stalks::eek::eek: You cannot post enough pictures of turntables and valve amps.

Those speakers look quite special as well, are they partly open baffles?

Speakers are Nola Pegasus Reference Xtreme (http://www.nolaspeakers.com/products/proteus_b.php), with a price about 60.000 EUR. They are partially open baffle. Hooked to Karan KA M 1200 monoblocks (price: 35.000 EUR for a pair).

It's quite amazing that I'm still being able to enjoy my system today, after all this... :stalks:

Wonderful stuff, you can never get enough good pictures of gorgeous kit like this!
Thanks for posting all this!
My missus is from Serbia, and I have seen some serious kit coming from this neck of woods! K Kessler reviewed some mammoth Valve power amp from Serbia recently. Shame that these products are not so well distributed within the UK...

Hi Blaz,

Many thanks for taking the time to attend the event and sharing those wonderful pictures with us! I just wish I could've been there to hear that superb system...

Hope Simon (sq) sees this! :)

Marco.

I don't know if this has been shared already, but it fits in the thread.

Kuzma Turntable Manufacturing

Although without commentary it is much more interesting (at least the second part) than Discovery Channel's "How It's Made" about Wilson Benesch turntables. But I'm very biased, I live less than 20 km from the manufacturing plant. ;) All the parts that make Kuzma turtables are really well engineered (or over-engineered, in some parts)...

There was an option to visit the Kuzma plant yesterday, unfortunately I couldn't come due to the lack of time...

All very nice.

What's up with the Stabi S with the motor arrangement, taller pulley with a longer belt? Is that to accommodate the new PSU?

Karan acoustics, Korato, NAT, Trafomatic among others - built like tanks, sound to die for and prices are fair considering the quality stuff you get.

Sorry, I have no idea! I noticed the longer belt, but I see now that the pulley is also different. Also, I think subplatter is thicker so that the platter is raised above the pulley and belt.

Unfortunately, at the time I was there Kuzma only showcased his new model Kuzma M with 4Point tonearm. Although I was more interested in Stogi S / Stabi S... I wonder how it compares to the relatively fettled Technics SL 1200 MkII? :eyebrows:

I would imagine that depends on the personal preference of the listener and the various arms/carts involved. By the tiem you have a half decent 1200 you could have paid for your Kuzma S twice over.. ;-)
