Hi,

I'm thinking of selling my copper EL84 monoblocks.
It will be the end of next week when I decide to or not as I'm going to try bi-amping with my new brass babies first.
Thou I've never really liked bi-amping and I don't need any more power.

How much are you looking for Duncan?

I would like the cost of parts only as these were new in December 2011.

VVT Transformer kit mains/outputs £225.44
Chokes £69.30
Quad of JJ El84 £40
Pair of ECF80 £20
Pair of EZ81 £20
Parts inc' resistors, capacitors, speakers sockets etc.. £100 ish
Copper cases £50

These should last for years before servicing which I will gladly undertake.

I may be going to Scalford so could bring them along.

Yes a perfect match.:D

Some info:

These are based on the excellent WD Kel84 circuit but with a much better tube rectified power supply, transformer and choke (per channel, zero crosstalk).

Around 14 Watt, Push Pull, class a, ultra linear with 20% taps, there are 43% taps included and you could quite easily wire them for triode or pentode operation.
There are 4,8 and 16 ohms speaker connections. currently wired for 8 ohms.

I use 95db speakers and these are very very quiet amps no hum/hiss.

New amps are really very good, well pleased.

I've decided not to bi-amp, so the copper monoblocks are for sale.
I would keep them only I need a new set of mavic ksyrium sl's for the new season.
