View Full Version : My Hifi system pictures
Here are some pics of my hifi system. Some of my amps are on the floor as I am waiting for my Pro Audio Bono rack. Also waiting for some Stella stands for the speakers and then everything will get in place. :)

Lovely looking system.
I have an EAR 864 pre that I use occasionally and its a nice pre, the 868 its bigger brother/update is I am sure much better.
Bob Carver amplifiers :stalks::eek: lovely.
I have you tried the oyaide weight with the platter mat, if not you should as I think it works brilliantly with its own mat.
Thanks for sharing a really nice set up.

Thanks. :) It sounds mighty nice as well. I had the Furutech Monza LP Stabilizer from before and use that with the mat. Works great.

The 211 amp is a Transcription Audio 211 Heaven power amplifier built on the AudioNote Ongaku. It's a 22wpc SET amplifier with a beautiful, full sound. Starting to love 211's. :) I have used the with my Vandersteen speakers, but the intention is to use the amp with the Transcription Audio open baffle speakers which are high sensitivity at about 95dB. I miss one Van Den Hul Clearwater speakers cable. which should be at my place early next week, before they are fully connected.

That actually is a Hal-O tonearm damper from Herbie's Audiolab: :)

What speakers you're using?
I use the Vandersteen 2CE SigII speakers with my Bob Carver Cherry 180 monoblocks, and the Transcription Audio open baffle speakers with the Transcription 211 SET amp.

Lovely lookin' set. There's just something about valves :) Noticed the 2M Bronze on board, I wonder if the Black would have your pearlies displaying an even more prominant gleam than this fella :D

While optimal visual matching might be important, the Bronze does perfectly well for me now. :)

Hi Jostein! Any further steps in your mind to upgrade your techie? Bearing, power supply etc?
Hi Jostein! Any further steps in your mind to upgrade your techie? Bearing, power supply etc?
Hi! Yes, the Mike New bearing is on the way and might be at my place next week. :) A power supply might be the next move, but that must be later. Gotta get some more tools for installing that. My Techie sounds great already, but I believe the new bearing will give it another great lift.

Oh Yes! It will! :) I'm still amazed with the performance that it does in comparisson with the stock bearing. :D
Very nice system Jostein.
Nice CD player,I recently took delivery of the new Acute 3 and have started listening to my CDs again after ten years with a Naim CDX.I didn't know red book sounded so good.
