Hey there!
Finally back to vinyl! Thinking back I guess I started around 5 years ago with a couple of vinyls and a used Pro-Ject player. Unfortunately, my first vinyls turned out to be relatively bad recordings and the player was just so messed up that I quickly lost any interest in the whole thing.
But the virus came quickly back when I moved 1 year ago from Germany to Bristol and was just amazed by the sheer number of LPs you could buy in any normal record store! What a difference to Germany where you really had to search for the black gold!
To cut a long story short, I bought a Rega RP 1, was a bit disappointed by the build quality and exchanged it just two weeks later for a Technics 1210 MK2. In the meantime I started becoming a regular customer at Bristol's and London's record stores and the local record fairs!
For those who are interested, the Technics is connected to an Onkyo A5VL and a pair of KEF Q1 - A combination I'm really happy with!
Music wise I tend to explore almost every genre, get soaked up by one, explore it a bit deeper and then find a nice recording from a completely different genre... Still, overall you won't find that much classical music in my collection and a quite diverse range of electronic music!
