View Full Version : Systemdek IIXE 900 cartridge?
Am I best buying a replacement stylus for my Goldring 1012 or putting the money into a newer cartridge? Thanks for your experience.

Are you happy enough with the sound you have from the Goldring?
I think it is possible to buy a better stylus for it, such as the 1042, that will fit on the same body. Better check that as I might be wrong.

The body is the same in all the 10xx series, so a 1042 stylus would be suitable.

I used a 1042 in my GyroSE/Tecnoarm. A very nice sound, detailed treble, sweet midrange and a solid bottom :eyebrows:.
Thanks for the advice, Goldring 1042 it will be?

Hi John,
I've got a slightly used D42 stylus (about 20 hours) I no longer need. It's yours for £50 if you'd like it; I'll refund this less postage if it doesn't do the trick for you . . . .

Thanks Bob. OK sounds good. Drop me at Private Message and we can sort it.
