View Full Version : Yahoo, back online........
Can you believe it, but I just moved home and have had no phone line/internet for the best part of a month! (don't expect anyone noticed really......). And bugger me look at all those unread posts, hundreds of them (499 to be exact)
Anyway, I'm (sort of) settled into my new home with much nicer curtains than the last place :)

Hi Tim,
Welcome back! I hope all went well with the move. And yes, some of us did notice your absence, go and stand outside the Head's office right now.
I wondered where you'd been. It seemed an awful lot of down-time for a move!
Welcome back, normal services resumed :)
Hi Tim, welcome back. I'd been wondering where you'd got to.
Anyone know if Mark (Reid Malenfant) is ok? Not seen him around for a bit.

No phone line at the new place from 16th January until today Martin! BT of course blamed the last provider at my new flat as the cause for the problem :mental: Mind you I have saved a fortune not buying any CD's

We'll soon put that right! Let's start with Lana Del Rey's excellent album...

Hmmm, really not to sure about her yet..... BUT, Gretchen Peters new record is a stunner IMO.
Tim, Tim who? Oh, him - have you been away? ;)
Anni Difranco's new one is a belter, just for starters...

Ahh, well see got that one already Alex - saw her in Brighton a couple of weeks ago, she was really good and quite a looker too, which I wasn't expecting. The bloody audience were dreadful though, the nosiest gig I have been too crowd wise, she even commented that there seemed to be a lot of 'freaks' in Brighton!

Yeah, was thinking the same thing the other day, hope you're ok Mark!

Too many Harry Hoofs, mate ;)
Marco.
Welcome back Tim.

I'm going to try and give Mark a call later - I suspect he may have back trouble again. :(
Thanks guys, I must admit I didn't think many would notice, but seems I'm not such an arse after all :eyebrows:
Barry, funny you should mention them, as they were in fact staying at my place last week. Great to catch up and play some tunes - he's been extremely complimentary about my sound which is all down to AoS really. He still dislikes the look of my Harbeths, but cannot argue that they sound good, at least for the type of music I prefer, which they do seem to excel at - I have never been so pleased. If it wasn't for you guys I would still be discontented with my MF and Monitor Audio system, which seems a million miles away from where I am now.
What's a Harry Hoof Marco? (don't answer that.......)
Hope Mark is OK Alex, keep us posted.

Harry Hoof = poof.
Apparently, the buggers (no pun intended) are rife in Brighton! ;)
Marco.
Lol, I knew you'd answer it Marco.......... indeed Brighton is rife with all sorts of 'alternate' folk. Not a fan of Brighton audiences TBH, but I guess for many it would be a lot of fun. I like to go to a gig to listen to the artist, not get pissed and chat all night - each to their own I guess, but Ani DiFranco was my last trip to Brighton unless the artist is an absolute must see.

Agreed, and I like to go to the cinema to watch a film, not hear some fat oaf munching popcorn right next to me.
