Hi Guys
Need some confirmation of what celestion HF drivers were in what Ditton cabs.
Trying to source 8 ohm HF1300 and HF2000's,I beleive the 8 ohm variants were early celestion units which IMf used,as that was what was available at the time.
I need to buy some HF units @ 8 ohms, but will consider 6 ohm
I have 4 ohm 1300's and one 6 ohm 2000.
What were the impedances of the Celestion HF units in the old Ditton range ?
Bought some crap HF tweets on ebay and am looking at now buying Ditton speakers to get the IMF TLS 80's back to spec.
Cheers
Rob

TLS80's used HF2000 super tweeters as I recall. You could cheat and use the Coles 4001G instead as it's still available and may fit the cutout ok with negligible electrical issues.

Hi David, yes the Coles are a drop in electrically but require a bit of surgery to the cabs,so last resort really.

A great shame that the HF2000 is long gone and the Ditton's which used it are now highly desirable and worth something in complete form. The best advice I can offer is to look for some Celestions that are being parted out, but as you no doubt know, the prices will be huge :(

Now the classic Audax tweets are being manufactured again, it's a shame that Celestion couldn't do a refurb service on these old coil assemblies. There are so many still in use and with the prices they now fetch, it may be worth making some new tooling..
