Hi guys.

I'm looking to upgrade to another Nagra reel to reel so I was wondering if anyone would be interested in this beauty?

It's had a few knocks (most have) but these things are almost indestructible. I have shown the worst of these (bottom picture). The lid has a small crack on the corner but is totally strong, again very common and nothing to worry about.

Saying that, I had it serviced by a Nagra specialist last week and it's running like a Swiss watch, probably because it's Swiss!

It's so silent when running and sounds superb.

This machine was built in 1966 (on the serial number) this baby is as vintage as you can get and working perfectly. Chances are, if you have watched a film made from the mid 60's to mid 90's a Nagra would have been used. There is even one of these in the film Help by The Beatles.

The machine comes with 2 Quantegy 480 Low print tapes that are made for Nagra. These tapes are brand new and only arrived the other day. Hard to find too.

One has been used once with the other still sealed.

Comes with a full set of new Duracell batteries.

The service alone cost me £150 and with everything else I'm looking for £380

Postage will be £15 (UK) Worldwide please ask.

Paypal please.

Hey Charlie and thanks fella.

Maybe... I do like mono stuff though. It depends on budget really!

Love your photography by the way... very nice!

aye (and sorry for off-topic - talking 'bout oxforddoc'd photography): I love that one of the drummer in the don weller quartet, using the old 'dutch tilt', with the guy looking as though he's just about to be buried by his kit.

Mark and Joe,

Thanks for the compliments. Not sure it helps Joe sell his lovely Nagra though!

Well, no... lol, but it's nice to give compliments where they are due.

Met Jarvis quite a few times since I'm from Sheffield, he sat on my guitar! It was a Gibson Les Paul Custom so it was a nice seat! lol

Anyway... Nagra.

Anyone? It's really lovely and if you have never seen one before be prepared for a build quality shock.. Thats what got me in to Nagra in the first place, they are built like a watch yet like a tank at the same time... wonderful.

The only plastic is the lid.
