Hi! My real name is Francisco. I've no experience in Forums. I'm here because I bought a Gatorized Caiman dac and I want to learn how to make nice upgrades, among other things. I intend to build a new system, from zero. A very good and modest system, step by step. In this matter, my target is to have a complete system until the end of next summer.
I had many systems before: naim, audio note, 47 labs, etc, but I am starting from zero. I found this community when I was reading about the Caiman upgrades.
I like all types of music, for example chamber music and electronic. My favourite instrument is the piano, (my mother was a pianist...), and I began to hear music very young, 4 or 5 years old. When I was supposed to be in bed, I was hearing the music my father used to hear: Bach, Shubert, Aranjuez, Jazz, Bossa Nova... and I was hidden behind a table or other piece of furniture, quietly hearing. So hi fi is my hobby from teen age, then my profession - not anymore, since a few years ago.
I have a lot of questions to make here and will try to contribute in this forum.
Please be tolerant about my english. I'm portuguese, living in France, since 6 years ago.
