Well got me dacs yesterday :eyebrows: with my new mark grants coax pure silver (Digital Coax Cables
Oyaide FTVS-510 pure silver digital coax fitted with WBT 0110 Ag) have to say these two are an awesome combination to say the very least! Both the clarity and sound stage are awesome ! couldn't recommend both of these products enough anyone thinking of getting them i would say go for it !!!!!!
They have widened my sound stage and given a nice amount of bass extension on my kef Q900's as i only run a 2.0 system for my movie/music listening.

using the dacs as a pre also for now till i decide which order to buy things in

Simply stunning cables :eyebrows: a great product!!!!

now my next dilemma is what to go for? a nice new croft 25 pre ? new transport? another pair of matching mark grant pure silver cable's? matching power amp for the pre? man I love this hobby!!! constant change (needs more like it hahahaha)

Even the gf has noticed the improvement in the overall sound! darnt tell her the cost lol hahahaha

All recommendations welcome!

cheers

As my system stands at the minute i have:

Oppo 93 for music/movies
Kef Q900's
eastern electric minimax dac also using as a pre
Mark Grant pure silver coax
custom 3 channel power amp

Options are:

matching inter connects to the mg coax
Glen croft micro 25 pre/ series 7 power which both can be upgraded to R's as and when.
transport for audio so its more dedicated than using the oppo for both alothough not half bad considering!!!!! open to suggestions with this :mental:

Anyways thanks for looking

It's a touch difficult without knowing all the variables but In my PERSONAL opinion, I would go the Croft route - the cable difference will be subtle most likely, (I think you are already using G1000/1500HDs?) and in my experience the transport (disc spinner or computer) has less influence on the sound than the DAC - but then I don't know the details of your 3 channel (why 3?) custom amp - but I do know Glenn Croft's kit is marvellous and a bargain to boot. I suspect for the same reasons as I, others are reluctant to put their opinions forward - unusually for this lot who are normally only too happy to spend other people's money! ;)

The reason for the 3 channel power was that I did have a 3.1 setup in my early days of an all in one setup onkyo 876 then a pioneer sclx73 worst buy ever! :mental:

Then I wanted to try a pre power setup of which I aquired the power amp from jon1 Great power amp but now find myself more than happy with the kefs by themselves :)

As for the cables I've just got the mg pure silver coax with dacs of which I am very impressed with specially the clarity ( how u getting on with my coax)

Having heard jons setup I no that I will be at some point joining the gc club but it's always interesting getting people ideas gd and bad

What are gd transport? To keep an eye out for ?

Cheers
