I've an Ortofon SL15E cart here not being used that I'd be happy to sell.

I should do some final testing of it to make sure everything is still running well but if anyone is interested at around £120 then I'll take photos etc and post them up.

Still sounding great and the stylus looks like it has a lot of life left in it.

Has pretty much been a spare thoughout it's life as the previous owner prefered their SPU.

It's working well and sounding good. Fantastic cart for your 301 or 401 with 3012!

I'd love it but can't :(

We traded in a couple over the years and, even with part/mostly worn styli, the sound was good, if a little "sparkly" for some (not me, I love a gentle sparkle on records :))

Good luck with the sale.

Great cartridge, and rather SPU-like, but needs a good (preferably valve) MM phono stage and an SUT that matches it properly and has plenty of gain, to perform at its absolute best.

Good luck with the sale, Nat! :)

Lovely cartridge, I have mine (bought NOS) fitted to an SPU headshell. Sadly my 3 yo great neice recently trashed it so it's gone off to soundsmith in the states for a re-tip.

Thanks for the messages people.

The arm it was on originally had the SPU transformer taken from the Ortofon headshell and wired at the other end of the arm so the guy could easily swap over this and his SPU. I think the SPU got most use so this was kind of a spare.

The stylus looks pretty good on this one - I'll have to try to take a photo by holding an eyeglass thing up to the camera lens. Surprisingly good results doing that actually, just the colour seperation from the plastic eyeglass lens starts to come into play.

So there are a few fans then! I've only used it on my Kenwood 2055 so far as it's easy to swap carts over with - my other arms are all one-piece.
