From the Study/Nursery clear out :dummy:

Offering Quad 77 Preamp + Control Console (Rebuilt and serviced by Quad in 2004) + Operating Manual.
This has been my main solid state preamp for the past 8 years. It is typical Quad with the shaping / slope facilties. Input adjustments and programmable Control Console. It also has a very flexible sweet sounding adjustable phono stage. Asking £375 delivered.

I have on of these and like it a lot, the phono stage in particular is excellent and better than several separate one I have. Good luck with your sale.

My Gawd, I bought a mint boxed one (seemingly unused) around eleven years ago including the remote. The box was too large and when time came to move here, wifey made me sell it. I think I sold it privately from memory and kept the Bryston preamp.

Several times since that period, I've thought how stupid I was, and that I should have actually USED the 77 preamp in the main system, since it really does sound lovely and sweet - perhaps a little too sweet, but who cares...

Good luck with the sale anyway...

Thank you gentlemen for your good wishes. This preamp has served me well and has fronted up both valve and solid state power amps over the years. It is extremely versatile and I dont really want to part with it but I now need the space and having downsized it must go!:wah:

I think your price might be a bit high. I got my full Quad 77 setup (Quad 77 cd player, quad 77 pre-amp, x2 Quad 77 power amps & remote control) for less than £800. But good luck anyway.

Wish I'd found this place a bit earlier than I did,I'd have ripped your arm off for that.
Why dont you stick it on the bay.

I think you were right. However you were very lucky to get that whole set up for £800!! :) I think I will hold on to it for a while longer.

Hi Garry. I am very interested in your Quad 77 preamp. Is it still for sale?
I saw this site on Google a few days ago so I realise that the preamp may have gone.
Please let me know either way as I find myself in need of the very thing that you are looking to sell!
Best regards and fingers crossed,
Pete.

Hi Peter, would you mind popping into the welcome area of the forum & introducing yourself please, you'll find it here (http://theartofsound.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=15) :) Just hit the button marked "new thread".

You may well be unaware that this is a requirement of all members, it's quite surprising how many people miss this on the activation emails they receive :eyebrows:

Thanks in advance!

Hi Garry. I got your message and sent a reply. The problem is that I'm really struggling to figure out what all these links and icons actually do. Please let me know if you have received my reply because I'm just not sure whether it was sent correctly, or not.
