At the Whittlebury show the M.D of Oyaide showed me a thin rubber mat to go underneath the oyaide aluminium mat, I sold the one he gave me to Tarzan (well I needed some beer money for after the show :lol:) and that was it, months passed and could not get any more so I made my own, I have now got some more made after the last lot sold out without even advertising them.

£12.50 delivered, basically a thin (1mm) rubber mat to fit on the Technics platter and the Oyaide mat on top, does work rest assured and sounds better.

Mine has arrived. Firstly: When placed under the Oyaide mat, there is absolutely no slippage between mat and platter. Good thing. Secondly: A definitely more cohesive sound. Soundstage a little wider and depth and image more defined than before. Good upgrade at minimal cost. Thirdly: If you have an Oyaide mat then you must get one of these. Thanks to David at MCRU.
