If you are bored with your dacmagic and thinking of up-grading it, take it from me using a better power supply could improve the sound that much you may want to keep it. The dacmagic is 12V AC so rather than needing a linear power supply like the dacmagic plus which is 12V DC, the standard dacmagic just needs some decent filtering, and the MCRU PSU only costs £100!
Here is the latest recipient of said PSU who just sent me this message:-

Just to say I am delighted with what you have sent me. The quality of this item is astonishing for the price. However, the improvement in sound and presentation is nothing short of dramatic.
The only other upgrade made in recent years that had a similar effect was when I added a Flatcap 2x and Chord Signature interconnects to the system.
