Greetings one and all, just a few lines to introduce myself as is the way on this forum I believe. I have been a very occasional visitor over the last couple of years (my record shows my last visit as May last year!) but hopefully will become a more regular visitor and contributor. My system as shown below, modest by the standards of some of the folks on these boards, nonetheless gives me tons of pleasure. I particularly love my Systemdek IIX which is coming up to its 26th birthday and showing no signs of packing up (unlike me). My most recent acquisition was an absolutely mint pair of Mission 752's that I bought for the princely sum of £80, and they have astounded me with their quality. So much so that my Epos M22i's had to go (paid off a credit card with the proceeds). I'm a bit of a cable sceptic myself, but believe in everyone to their own, whatever makes you happy go with it. Finally, in the never ending quest to better quality, I'm awaiting the arrival of a new phono amp, an ANT Audio Kora 3T SE phono preamp, which after plenty of research appears to tick all the boxes and is a well regarded phono stage.

Well thats enough waffle from me about my system.

My idea of heaven? Sitting on the front row at the Manchester Bridgewater Hall listening to Richard Thompson play an acoustic gig for 2 hours, or going to Manchester's Band on the Wall and listening to the Matt Schofield Band (check him out on Youtube if you like blues).

Cheers

Marco

Thanks for the friendly welcome people.

Marco, do we know one another? Possibly more than one Clothears floating around t'internet maybe.

Having a quick listen to the AOS Spotify playlists before work. What, no "Groovin' With Mr Bloe" on the Harmonica list. Shameful!

Nice, glad they get used sometimes! :)

Let me know which version you'd like and I will rectify that! :) :)

Well the original that I remember from being a kid would be more than adequate thanks. Whichever you choose make sure it's not the one by The Fall :)

Hi Dave,

Soz, you're not the dude that I thought you were. Anyway, enjoy your stay here, and may it not be a fleeting one

:rfl:

Reminds me of when my wife bumped into her 2nd cousin in Tesco and rubbed her big tummy and said "oooh - how long to go now?" 2nd Cousin replies "It's not me that's pregnant - that's my sister!" :o

Anyway, as you were.

Welcome! Big Richard Thomspon fan here as well, and have seen him live a couple of times.
