Hi everyone, I am Adrian at Audioflair. I have really enjoyed your forum over the years but been a little hesitant to join because as someone who started as a hobbyist I have developed genuine tastes in music and equipment which seemingly conflict with having become a dealer. However, I shall endeavour to be even-handed in my postings and offer unbiased advice to those who want it.
I love World Music and find speaker design particularly fascinating.
My first proper system was one of those packages put together in the early 80`s - Dual 505, Nad 3020, Mission 700`s and I haven`t looked back since.

Adrian, welcome to the forum. I also love World Music and all of the WOMAD stuff especially the Drummers of Burundi.

Hi Adrian, and welcome to AoS from me too. By and large you'll find AoS very "trade friendly" so don't worry too much, just get stuck in. :)

Must admit I've never heard of Role Audio - off for a gander now. :)

Have fun!

Ello :)

What you need to do is try to get a system like you started with, just to see how far you've come, even if the Missions will need re-foaming :D T'was a very interesting thing to do for me, forty odd years on (Garrard, Metrosound ST20 and early Dentons)... Interesting thing is, my mid period (Linn/Naim/'Briks) I doubt I could ever go back to, so awful was the reproduction of instrumental timbres, despite the "boogie factor" which it had in abundance...

Hi Dave, I certainly find albums I used to listen to happily as a teenager are painfully dissected by more revealing gear. E.g. Kiss Alive 2 ! Or maybe it`s just my tastes that have changed...

Ahh happy days - seeing KISS as a teenager at the Manchester Apollo :hairmetal:

Kiss came to Stafford Bingley Hall in the 80`s and Gene Simmons announced, "We`ve come here to kick Heavy Metal in the teeth, long live Rock and Roll!" Audience booed, but turned out to be a great gig...
