I was over Chorley midweek, an while in Asda of all places I came across blank audio cassettes for sale no less:eek: they were Maxell, can't remember the model and were a modest £4.99 for a pack of 5.

So logic would dictate that in then next year or 2 we should see vinyl back on the shelves:eyebrows:

thanks for the tip! i was thinking of upgrading my tape deck too :) luckily i have a nice bundle of tapes to reuse but new ones will come in handy. i know its a bit of a joke too but its about time they asked what we actually want on the shelves to buy.

I shall call them and ask them to stock some tapes for the revox i have my eye on :eyebrows:

i forgot to ask about my tape deck, current one is the yamaha kx580, ive seen some kx580 special editions on ebay and wondered if i should get one. are the improvements great enough to warrant the purchase? i'd keep both if i did.

My "Bachelor Pad" c. 2004 - the Steve Steigman/Maxell "Blown Away" picture sadly failed to integrate into the lilac themed living room once I moved in with Mrs Alex... :)

Hehehe... I bet that place saw plenty of 'action' in its day, eh ya stud muffin? ;)

I can picture it now... Alex sauntering up in his lilac blouse, fragrant from a splash of Paco Rabanne, leather trousers and cowgirl boots, to a couple of chick's at the 'disco':

Alex: "Well hello there, shweeties, howz about we blow this joint out and cruise back to my pad for a Martini?"

"Would you like a ride in my Jaaag?"

Girly: (knickers suitably soaked) "Oooh yes, that would be simply super!"

"Could my friend come, too? Sorry, she's a bit of a munter, but she is rather adventurous..."

Alex: "Worry not, honey-pie, I have a couple of Fortnum & Mason's carrier bags and some nice fat candles, back at the old bijou central, and there's plenty of room on the water bed {wink}."

I'd better stop now, I guess, but you get the picture!

:goodfriends: :D

Hi Alex
Those fanlights are horrid, doncha think? you can't fit coving to the roof because of them, plasterboarded all ours over, fitted new Architrave & doors & of course coving..Looks tons better, just needs finishing painting (sorry about poor pickie)

Marco, that's priceless  I think you've had a bit of practice writing those sort of stories! No waterbed - but fear ye not - with a Queen-sized bed, plenty of room for more than a couple! :eyebrows: and the bedroom was lilac!!!

Andre - I really liked the fanlights - from a pure 70's-tastic look! But you've done a good job there.

Sorry, Mike - for the unashamed thread drift... ;)

Yesh, you could say I've written a few wee 'story-ettes' in my time for the amusement of others with suitably deranged minds! :eyebrows:

I must say, however, that I'm rather disappointed at the lack of sheepskin rugs, and there's no headboard on which to attach handcuffs!
