Heres a few more this is a 1960s figure in modern clothes made by a company in China around 2009. The Diorama base he stands on I made myself.

Blimey, they are two years older than me & in much better condition :rfl:

Not sure about the hair parting in all honesty, he's a soldier in this instance after all  I'd have thought a crew cut would be a better bet, but what do I know :)

They must be worth some money to a collector & will no doubt only increase in value :D

E2A:- You only had the one picture up when I started to reply. The second one is excellent! :stalks:

Thanks mate, these two with all bits have cost around £320 to put together due to them being mint and also the first Action men in the UK in the early 60s, made by Palitoy followed later by the more known Eagle Eyes.

Fantastic. I can only imagine the effort that's gone into putting these together. Interesting hobby, and great pictures.

Thank you Nick, yes alot of time goes in sourcing the best/mint bits and outfits as they came in the 60s. There's alot on Ebay but not so many mint, I buy alot from other collectors but its hard work prising these mint items from there hands. I love toy photography mainly 70s toys as I'm a 70s child. I have loads of vintage 70s toys ie Eagle eyes, six million dollar man, space hoppers, clackers, and so on. I will add some pics later which might bring back some memories for some....

Great photos, Jason.

I can only remember having one Action Man as a kid - it was a 'Red Devil' parachutist. I guess I was 7 or 8 at the time, so that would be 1969 or 1970? Given that the parachute was supposed to work, I guess I'd have rendered it unsuitable for a collector within about 2 minutes...

LOL nice one Dave I never spotted that.....

Thanks Keith, I have had a couple of red devils Paltoy issued one in the 60s then a 2nd in the 70s nice outfit..

Brings back great memories. Never liked eagle eyes, 60s action man all the way.
Those figures are great condition. Dont have any of Argyle and Sutherland do you?

Hi Colin, glad they brought some memories for you. I have owned a Argyll in the past but not now, although I wish i'd have kept it. A mint Argyll outfit without figure would set you £400,,,,one in reasonable condition £100 its quite a sought after outfit..

Its easy to forget sometimes that people have all sorts of weird and wonderful hobbies that we never hear about until the odd post like this

Not sure if this might be of any interest to you, but there is a chap on my forum who like to take photos of models and make them look like genuine battle scene photography ... Brilliant!

the best ones are at the bottom of this page and onwards

I just love the length of the thighs on Wonder Woman. Now if only all women were like that...?

Are those roller skates hanging from the space hopper or 'Jumping Jacks'? My ankles wince at the thought if they are the latter...

Hmm, wondering now if I've got the name wrong as I can't find them on Google. They fastened to your shoes just like the roller skates in your photo, but instead of wheels they had 2 big coiled springs joining the bit under your foot to another metal plate so you could bounce around. They were completely unstable and resulted in endless sprained ankles :eyebrows:

Oh Jason, man, you've got it bad dude! ;)

I've got some boxed 70's toys (Etch-A-Sketch, Buckaroo, Operation and the like) that I always wanted as kid but never had, and a load of boxed diecast cars, but your collection is just mind-blowing! My original 70s Action Man and Star Wars collection are still in my best mate's loft - well, they were, long gone now I suspect.

Bollocks... Admit it, your missus likes you to dress up as her 'Action Man' for the special wee games you play behind those lilac curtains!! S'ok, I won't ask what you do with your bazooka  :eyebrows:
