Quad Elite amp and pre - anyone, anyone?

Wondering if anyone has any listening experience with the newish Quad Elite pre and power amp?

I have to say that the silence is deafening on this launch on the US side, with no stock in stores and no buzz anywhere about it.

Sorry Jack no experience of this range but as a Quad fan and a current very happy owner of the 99 CD-P2 (and past owner of the 99 and 909, each which I loved) my personal view is that the Elite range is a cynical re-marketing exercise.

Must stress again though, not heard so an unqualified view.

Now the Quad Classic integrated, there's something I'd like to hear.

On the plus, there's some amazing 99 Series bargains to be had as a result.

I did listen to the Quad 99 -2 CD player extensively in about 2009, and thought it was fantastic in an all-Quad system, including small floorstanding speakers.

It is on my (long) short list for front ends, after I buy my amplification.
