A couple of images taken during 2004 of the Charles Renee Mackintosh designed Glasgow School of Art. I quite simply adore Art Nouveau and Art Deco and this building continues to stun and amaze me.

Here's a view from the side street. I think the main facade is on Nile Street.

Hi Shaun

Beautiful photos, as per usual.

I am a big fan of Charles Renee Mackintosh's work in all its forms and his wife's as well.

The interior is just as amazing. I went on the tour once and it was fantastic.

Hill House at Helensburgh is also worth a visit just up near loch Lomond and take a left and if you are lucky you might see a sub coming out of Faslane.

Davros, I would so love to do the tour of this building but I think it would be a very long time before I ever get to Glasgow again as my life has moved on so far since these images were taken. At least I can still appreciate the Art Nouveau and Art Deco movements in other ways which is always a good thing.

Excellent shots Shaun I can only hope at the moment to get shots like these. I'v had my camera about a year now still trying to get to grips with it. I'v been enjoying indoor shots and experimenting with lights in the past year, but seeing shots like these make me want to give the outdoor's ago. Thanks for sharing them.

Great pictures, I used to take my son to a class on a Saturday mornings about 10 years ago....If I'm honest I would love to have gone myself. A hidden gem for anyone visiting Glasgow is the museum resource center situated in leafy Nitshill. You can sign up for tours of all the goodies not on display in Scotland's Museums. Have a look at the museums website. Well worth a tour of whatever floats your boat, of which there is stacks...
Tony.
