Before I fall foul of the mods a little bit about me and me gear:)
First off, love music, love it. Really wanted to play the guitar but found myself with ten thumbs! So I am a "passive" participant!
Currently have two systems, a pair of Quad 405's that I monoblocked myself with the use of Bernd Ludwig's schematics and Keith Snook (of DC Daylight) help. Have a Les Wolstenhome modified Quad 34 pre-amp on those and in turn they drive a pair of B&W 601's My "second" system is a Quad 303 with every Net-Audio mod powering a pair of ESL 57's - which need a good coat of looking at so I am going to buy the Australian refur kit and refurb them. The pre-amp is a Quad 22 which is all original and a bit flaky!
An Avondale modified Arcam Alpha5 is my CD transport on the first setup and a Project Genie is my LP player on the second setup.
I am considering buying a Beresford DAC, but I would like to hear one first.
That's it folks!

Hi Graham,
Welcome to The Art of Sound and thanks for doing the intro thing before being clobbered! You'll find plenty of interest in Quad gear here.
How about telling us a little more about your musical preferences?

Cheers

Hi Graham, welcome to the forum from me as well :) I think I'll have to see what information I can find on these 405 monoblock mods - sounds interesting. I have a pair that I modded myself to do full power into a 4 ohm load, though obviously not continuously given the standard heatsinking :eyebrows:

I hope you enjoy your stay here, plenty of other members with Quad equipment around abouts!

Welcome from me Too, Graham. As the others have said, lots of Quad lovers here, many of whom will be interested in your tweaking, I suspect. Enjoy the forum. :)
