Hello one and all,
I found this site while I was doing some research on Jelco tonearms. There's a lot of great information here that cannot be found anywhere else.
I live in Connecticut, in the USA.
I'm an IT Systems Engineer in my early 50s and have been into audio my entire adult life. I listen mainly to jazz recorded in the 1950s and 1960s, and classical music recordings from the same period. I'm a vinylphile and keep a library of about 3,500 LPs. I have also been building a nice library of 180g 45RPM audiophile jazz reissues from labels like Analogue Productions and Music Matters.

Recent changes not reflected in the photo:
1. Upgraded the Ray Samuels Audio solid state phono preamp with an Aesthetix Rhea tube phono preamp.
2. Sold the Denon DVD Player, Slim Devices Transporter, and Melody I2A3 integrated amp.
3. Purchased an Eastern Electric Mini Max DAC and use a HiFace USB to SPDIF converter for digital music.
4. The ELAC Miracord turntable was being used only to play 78RPM shellac records. I have moved it out to another room and connected it to a mono amp and single monitor speaker.
I am currently working on a Garrard 401 turntable project. Here's a photo of it while I was checking the fit of the plinth that I had made for it.

This deck will have two Jelco tonearms, a SA-750D 9" arm and SA-750L 12" arm, using a pair of Ortofon SPU cartrdiges, one for mono and another for stereo. It should be ready for a test drive in about another month.
