View Full Version : F**king windy down here
The wind has just peeled all the felt off our dormers this morning and dumped it in the front gardens luckily only scatching next doors car, got them out of bed a bit rapid to move it before the rest of it came off.
Too windy to get up there and sheet it down yet, and no sign of it slowing down and it's chucking it down with rain as well
Really pissed off at the moment :steam:

Its a tad blowy in London at present. Also a tad chilly. I've even had to put my heating on today...!
what joy it's torrential rain now and we have water coming in through the light fittings and other places i can't find, just bought a load of sheeting to go up and baton down but not in this wind at the moment,
Started switching off the electrics

Woke up to find water on both sides of the kitchen worktop this morning, seems like the wind is blowing it off the guttering and through the brickwork.
Can report that the wind&water has made its way here; in 4 hours it will be 25-30 m/s
All sheeted and batoned down, just need to carry on mopping up :(

Jon, I know what it's like mate :( I had to run up to my bedroom earlier to catch water with a bowl, thankfully it wasn't so bad & I didn't need it :)
However there will be a good bit of re-roofing done some time this year :eyebrows:

Came home to find the enclosed yard as a swimming pool, drain was blocked. Had a go at poking about in the drain but no success.
It was only going to get worse so no choice but to call Dino Rod out. Easiest job of their life. Took two minutes to clear it  £120 thank you :( Oh well it could have been much worse and more expensive.

Sorry to hear of your woes chaps. Very windy here at 750ft up in the Derbyshire hills, but no structural damage (touch wood) so far.
