Hi I'm Hugh and live in (not so at the mo) sunny Cornwall. I'm into vinyl and to my ears at least have a nice sounding system - Trio L-07D with a few mods over the years. Varied assortment of moving coils feeding into Hashimoto HM-X step up trannies feeding a custom active phono pre amp equaliser. Main pre and power is courtesy of original Sony Esprit pre and main with modded Audio Physic speakers. Music taste is mainly instrumental with a lot of good rock thrown into the mix including ELO so bring on Horace Wimp. Mrs Santa failed to bring the promised digital camera so will hot foot to Currys and get one sorted later on for some gallery photos.

Horace Wimp. That name brings back memories. Out of the Blue by ELO.

Horace Wimp
This is your life
Go out and find yourself a wife

For some reason, as I sing that to myself, I find myself slipping into You're so Hideous by Dickies, which was one song on the B-Side to Banana Splits.

Anyway, Welcome Hugh!

Actually, it was off Discovery, or as ELO fans called it at the time, Disco? very!

I stand corrected.

It was my elder sister's album, so I didn't pay it much attention to it. Her taste in music remains rather more peer-driven than mine ;).

The only other ELO song I know is Mr Blue Sky... I guess someone is going to tell me that wasn't by ELO but Supertramp or some other pop combo of the era...

Welcome to the frivolity Hugh! (I was spinning some ELO albums a few days ago for the first time in a while, very enjoyable!)

Like everyone else, I look forward to seeing some pictures once you've acquired and mastered your new toy. :) All the best, and enjoy AoS. :)
