i have a pair of impulse lalis and im looking for some inverted tweeters (Focal TD90K tweeter) they are made by focal but quite old ,would anybody have any or know where i could get some?Cheers

You will have to give more details than that I'm afraid - Focal have made a lot of different inverted dome tweeters. I suspect you mean the yellow Kevlar ones, but I can't remember the details.

You sure they are TD90K? I used to have a pair of T90K - small faceplate & magnet compared to the T120 & K is for kevlar, so they should be some form of yellowish woven fibre material with a foam surround :)

They occasionally come up on ebay, though you are more likely to see the more modern variants. I honestly can't think of anywhere else :scratch:

Does this mean you have a working pair at the present? If so there is a fairly easy way to protect them ;)

What you need to do is fit a resettable fuse inline with each of them. If you are interested I'll see if I can find the ones I use on my tweeters which would also be suitable for yours :)

Excellent Mark,yep they are working just i thought best try and find replacements you know just in case,and do those fuses degrade or alter the sound at all?

Ive done a bit more research and these Focal TC120TD5 drop straight in pretty much

You wouldn't know the fuses are there until it goes open circuit & that has never happened yet :eyebrows: Seeing as I have a 120W RMS (8 ohm) amplifier directly driving each tweeter & I often seriously crank things it's quite surprising :rfl:

I think you'll find that the T120 chassis is strangely 120mm accross which makes the T90 90mm, so I'm not quite sure how it'll drop right in, unless you know Dr Who ;)
