Hi,

Does anyone have any recomendations for small active speakers for use in an office / bedroom environment ~ £300ish?

I will be using an SB3 as the source and wanted to avoid using an amp if at all possible.

Thanks for any help,

Graham

I can recommend the KRK Rokit series of powered speakers:

If you don't mind second hand,i can recommend these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Tapco-S5-Active-Studio-Monitors-Great-Condition-Mackie-Behringer-Genelec-/280795203120?pt=UK_ConElec_SpeakersPASystems_RL&hash=item4160b2c630

There're the smaller version of what i use. They have a transparent neutral sound which is rich with a nice soundstage.Should be well within your budget,no more than £120-150.

The Behringer models get good comments and a pair with dome tweeters (not the ribbon ones) sounded very good at school in their little studio..
