Well Robert you must have been a particularly naughty boy this year. Only good boys get such nice presents.

Is this what you deserve instead :spank: or perhaps a good :whippin:

Regardless of the disappointments I hope you enjoy your day anyway.

You might want to check the bushes around your front gate Robert as I hear Santa has employed FedEx to help lighten his load this Christmas... :eyebrows:

:lolsign:

p.s. - I wonder if Santa decided that this guy should get an M1 Abrams main battle tank for Christmas and then dropped it down his chimney from 30,000ft...

That ol' Santa is such a fraud. I've long since learned to buy my own choice gifts, hence the REL sub and Martin Logan speakers I'm now listening to.
Up yours Santa!

Nice one Darren. Believe you me it is taking some serious will to keep on pretending I dont have a credit card  (Thing is Funk Platter, Ortofon Jubilee and a decent external psu equate to " A lot of debt and dont ever !! ever !! ever EVER !! let the Mrs find out "

The missus needs a head correction on this Gongie. The hifi keeps you happy, stops you going out boozing and messing with other women right? ( The truth is by the by)
You love being home with her and your music right? ( same qualifiers)
So any money you spend is a long term investment in your relationship?
Awwww! How could she refuse?

Could you please translate into a language I can understand? ;)

Marco.

Darren

Sorry Marco. I meant that Gongie's significant other sees the hifi in a negative way: ie an indulgent waste of money, whereas in fact it is a symbol of Gongie's marital bliss and must be encouraged at all costs.....

Lol Marco - I think what Darren is saying is that the Mrs needs to correct / alter her mindset / attitude with regards to RobbieGong (me / Gongie) and my desire to spend bucket loads on my passion for hi fi and the enhancement of my listening pleasure by way of pocket emptying tweeks to my beloved Techy
 :D

Marco

Ah, I get it now... Cheers, chaps. The main thing was I had no idea who or what "Gongie" was! :eyebrows:

BTW Marco, Hows da Techy sounding now with the new Ortofon arm and Funk Platter in place ? A few words re: the arm and the Platter would be great - Please !! :D

Marco

Absolutely stunning, Robert... Superb as my Sony CDP & DAC are, I haven't listened to CDs since! :eyebrows:

The combo of the Ortofon arm/SPU E/SR7EHD PSU/Funk Firm platter, and last but by no means least, my new solid ebony armboard, has catapulted the sonic performance of my Techy into a stratosphere of unbelievable wonderfulness... Does that get across enough the fact that I'm bloody LOVING it? :D

Seriously though, the sheer rock-solid stability, sense of ease, ruthless musical insight and dymamic power my T/T is capable of producing now is mind-blowing, and it takes your breath away. If we get a room at Scalford this year, I can't wait to demonstrate it!

Hey Marco, Proper glad for you. I can only imagine how good the thing is sounding. High end components added to the rock solid foundation and quality at the heart of the Techie - Lucky you. One day I'll indulge further too and look to add the Funk Platter and an Ortofon Jubilee which would be my first mc - Nice one Marco :)
