Hi to everyone,
I've been into Hi Fi for many years, only more recently having the funds to start down the slippery slope of the upgrade path.
Have a great Christmas all ......

Hi Gary
Welcome to AoS.
So why don't you tell us a little about your system & musical preferences?
Hi Gary, had a great Christmas. Obligatory meal eaten......................normal service has now been resumed.
Rob.
Hi Gary and welcome to AoS. Your moniker is close to Audiofreaks, the importer, and gave me a little shiver just now ;) Don't worry, it's just a character called Branko that did that!

Thanks for all the nice welcomes people.
You will have to excuse the delay in getting beck to posting, the lead up to and including Christmas/New Year was very hectic, but now I have a little more time.....
I have been into music and Hi Fi for many years and have gone through many system and upgrades. Not much upgrading in the last ten or so years due to bringing up the kids and that, you know the story.....
My current system consist of as follows:
Systemdek 11Xe 900, Modded RB 250 with Incognito rewire and Mitchell Technoweight. Denon DL 160 cart. Cambridge Audio 640p.
Arcam Alpha 7 CD upgraded to CD 82
Cambridge Audio NP30 music streamer, this is fed by a hardwire from my router and connects a 1TB hard drive through an Iomega iConnect Data Station. I play 16 bit 44khz CD FLAc rips and 96 bit 96khz FLAC files through.
Arcam Alpha 10 amp.
Linn Keilidh speakers.
Various cables, inc Linn, Arcam, Chrord. I keep changing to and throw.
Looking for an Alpha 10p to bi-amp.
My taste in music is a very varied taste. Vinyl I have most of Joni Mitchell on Vinyl and still play them. Crosby Stills Nash and Young - So Far is great. Sarah K - Waterfalls is my best recording on vinyl.
Digital: Sting, Laura Marling, Miles Davis, U2, Pink Floyd, Tangerine Dream, Manic Streat Preachers, BBM, Eric Clapton, Weather Report, Diana Krall, some classical recordings, most resent artist - Rebecca Fergason, a superb voice. There is not much I do not like really.
As for the Manor Boys.... Well I could not get the taster to play, but from the bio it seems they are rap artists, not really my bag although I do like M&M. I am looking to find a local music club or something like that, as I am finding it harder and harder to find and talk to music lovers that like real Hi Fi, other than on the internet.
Well that's a little more about me, I hope I can get to know you all a little better.
Regards,
Gary.

Thanks Barry, the East Anglia 'massive' is growing! ?? I take it you mean the amount of people from East Anglia on here ?
Today I went along to the CD and record fair in Chelmsford, it takes place every first Saturday in the month. A great collection of music there, I bought six vinyl albums and two CD's for a total of £15 including the second pressing of Joni Mitchells - Ladies of the Canyon for £2 that is mint and plays superbly. Other purchases include Van Morrison - Wavelength, Robert Plant - Pictures at eleven, Steve Miller Band - Anthology, James Taylor - James Taylor, Lenny Kravitz - Mama Said, R.E.M. - Automatic for the People. The CD's were just £1 each R.E.M - Monster, Muddy Waters - Mojo live collection. Real bargains, all the vinyl had Nagoaka sleeves as well. :D I then spent a couple of hours cleaning etc, and now listening....... Happy days.
