Hi all!

My name is Pete and I live in Sydney, Australia. I've referred to theartofsound a few times for information regarding DACs, so I figured I'd do the right thing and register properly ;)

My system is a mix of old and new. I'm currently runnnig the following:

Logitech Squeezebox Touch
audio-gd digital interface (as a SPDIF reclocker)
audio-gd NFB-3 DAC
Restored Sansui AU-517 and AU-719
Lenehan ML1 Plus R
Atacama sand-filled stands
Grave Science cables

The audio-gd DAC is lovely. I rate the restored Sansuis VERY highly indeed. The Lenehan ML1 Plus R speakers were added last week and replaced some Dynaudios, and prior to that, some Usher S520s. The Grave Science cables are very very good for the money too.

Sansui made some much more serious stuff back in the day, I didn't realise they were dual mono :stalks:

Having seen the internal construction of some of their power amplifiers though, I can't say I'm too surprised ;)

I listen to a variety of music, including acoustic/instrumental stuff with or without vocals, and also a lot of electronic music of various genres.

Sound interesting. :) If you haven't found it yet, we have a "Spinning Today (http://theartofsound.net/forum/showthread.php?t=14170)" thread, where people post up what they are listening to - would be good to see some of your stuff on there - lots of electronic fans on here, always up for some new stuff to try, I'm sure. :)
