Some amplifiers do have a lot of valves, like these from Transcendent Sound:

OTL amps will have many valves. Atmasphere make some fancy ones.

IMO, simple is better. The more there is in the way of the fragile signal, the worse the sound and having heard a couple of those amps, there is nothing to change my opinion. Furthermore, when they start to pop tubes, it gets complicated and expensive..:eek:

That Atmasphere looks as if it uses KT66s. 14 on each side! Can you imagine trying to source 14 pairs of GEC KT66s every few years? No-one will ever complain about finding WE300Bs any more.
