Hello from Swindon England

Hi

I've been into hi-fi for a while now (albeit on a budget) but especially interested in vinyl playback. I have quite a few bits and pieces of hi-fi gear around the place but the main system I'm using now is;

Turntables: Sony PS-6750, Technics SL-1210 Mk2
Cartridges: Ortofon VMS 5E, Shure M97xE, Audio Technica AT95HE
Amp: Technics SU-V570
Speakers: Tannoy 633 D30

The latest upgrade I'm thinking of is a new cartridge....but then I'm also looking at speakers..or amps..or preamps. You know what it's like.

At various times I have been into - late 60s/early 70s psych and prog, Krautrock, new wave, ska, 80s Indie (Smiths, Fall, Julian Cope etc), 60s pop/rock (Beatles, Stones, The Who, Doors etc), folk rock (especially Dylan, Richard Thompson). I also sometimes like a bit of 50s rock 'n' roll and 60s/70s soul, some Jazz too.
