I'm in the market for an arm lead for my Techie, I've approx £5-800 to spend. I know i could purchase a better Cart/Headshell but as these are stop gaps just to get it up and running, these will be changed within the next year, so you see I'd really like to buy the best and not have to upgrade in the future. Any ideas

So far I've looked at: Linn T-Cable (I own one), Oyaide and Furutech as a few here use, but are their any other contenders?
I'm completely lost( Linn/Naim sheep for far to long) :mental:

Thanks in advance

The Furutech AG-12 cable has gotten a lot of good press here lately.

You also have the Linear Flow 2 External Tonearm Cable from Origin Live:

See if you can find a S/H Graham IC70 cable. The most recent version has a useful arm terminator that can be rotated through 180degrees to facilitate most exit angles required on most arm TT/ installations.

I picked one up a few months ago on a forum, for a very nice price :)

So you want to spend up to £800 on a tone arm cable - is that right?

If you are using a phono amp/stage then suggest Furutech AG-12 tone-arm cable with matching AG-12 RCA -RCA cable to connect phono stage to amp/pre-amp

The Furutech is better than the Oyaide.

Charles, the AG-12 is the one, mate. It's a total bargain for £435! I know it sounds strange saying that about something which still costs a fair bit of wonga, but trust me, it's as good as any £1000 tonearm cable I've heard, and in terms of some of them, a lot better! ;)

Honestly, matey, you need look no further with this one. I'm sure that David will do you an excellent deal:

Was a Typo...Up to 600, But it looks like i can spend a little less on the Furutech.

For the connection from Phono Stage to Amp I'll be using a Naim 4-5 Hiline.

Thanks Marco... I'll try David once Xmas is over. He comes over as very helpful, the few times we've had contact.

Missed the postie today, Mike New's Bearing has arrived, just got to pick it up. And no surcharge/Import tax or VAT, that makes a change, i usually get caught.

Yes, David is very helpful. The AG12 is what I'm using, and it sounds GORGEOUS... I think you'll love it!

I'll second the Furutech AG-12, Marco brought it round and we were pretty amazed at the improvement over his other (Ortofon?) cable.
