Afternoon all,

I'm eagerly awaiting my new stereo and have been reading (as you do) about the power supply for it and I've realised I've got a naff old £5 job; I'd love to get a high quality one and had a look at a couple of the vendors on here, but all of the "good" leads seem to be far too short for my room, I have the power and my audio at opposite corners and therefore need about 10 meters of cable; does anyone have any suggestions on a good quality long mains distribution block please?

The only alternative is to have a shorter one under my bed, but that's far from ideal as it would mean the power leads from the stereo could present a trip hazard

Any advice would be greatfully received

Try Dave at Mains Cables R Us - he might knock you up a mains block with a 10m cord if you ask nicely

Seconded. David as MCRU is the man to contact :)

Thanks for the advice gents; I've gone through MCRU.

I've taken an interim measure; I'm going to get some proper measurements of my room and come back to him regarding that. To tide me over I took the plunge and got me an "Audio Asylum Mains Power Cord" for my amp :)

Has anyone got this lead and can they report back on it?

Personally, the testimonial in the advert on the item sold it to me, I'll report back when it's all up and running!
