It was time to get some backups. These were very reasonably priced.

Anyone have anymore detailed information about the difference between the OD3 voltage regulator valve and the OD3W?? I'm assuming the OD3W is just a more rugged and militarized version of the OD3. Should I be concerned about what materials may have been used for the heat shielding in the fat base of the OD3W? Is it all micanol?

Sorry for the big pics... ...and the dust.

Yup, or Nick Gorham (lurcher). I'd PM them, Biff, and I'm sure they'll be able to help :)

They are the same from an electrical specification, regulation voltage, max/min/current etc, everything effectively is the same. The W is mica shielded and additionally compliantly mounted/damped at the base, but you can chop and change em with impunity.
