I was looking for a bit of clarification please.
I have a shure sc35c cart which is stated as being 15.9mm high and I use a 2mm spacer between the cart and the headshell, I also use a 3mm Achromat.
According to the SL1210 manual for a cart that is 15.9mm the VTA should be set at 1, however since I have added a 2mm spacer does this mean the cart is now 17.9mm and should be at 3 ? and just to aid confusion even further I am assuming that the settings in the manual are for a standard 5mm thick mat, since I am now using a 3mm mat does this mean I have to reduce the VTA back to 1 since I have lost a further 2mm in height.
I am confusing the issue here for myself or is there some logic to my question.
Going round in circle's.......
