Grounded!

Does anyone bother doing this with their amps?

If so, why, what do you use and does it deliver any benefits other than safety?

The majority are 'grounded' or earthed via their mains leads, for safety and to reduce noise and interference.

Cheers Dave, I had a Roksan Kandy K2 and it had a separate gold grounding (for want of a betetr word) knob on the back of it.

By your logic, I would'nt need to make use of it, due to the power lead?

I can't remember if the Kandy has a three core mains lead, if it has it's grounded/earthed by that.

The 'knob' on the back is there to earth the turntable, not to earth the amp.
