hi all,

i would like to have some suggestion from you guys please. I bought my first set up a year ago;
technics 1200 mkii audiotecnica at 120 e
/arcam r dac/
pioneer a400/
klipsch rf 82.
I would like to get a warm sound with good dynamic,the rf 82 are too harsh, also the midrange is like is not present.the only thing i like is the punch that klipsch are able to reproduce. witch brands you suggest to audition in order to get a warmer sound? budget would be around 1300 uk pounds (used or new).the speaker will be placed at 2 mt from the listening spot. music i listen rock, blues jazz prog.

thanks in advance for your help, regards

(sorry for my low level english)

The Pioneer A400 always sounds far too explicit and astringent to me. A warmer, more mellow amp should help a lot.

Try a Croft Micro 25 + Series 7 power, Puresound A30 or Rega Brio R.

hi thanks for you reply, you reckon a new amp will help or better new speaker first and then a new amp?
