This design looks more driven by style than logic, but who knows what it sounds like. At that price I am in hurry to satisfy curiosity....
Pehaps a clutch of temporal fields strapped to the crossover's transparent aluminum keeping everything in synchrony...

Simple, it's an attempt to time align the drivers ;) However it looks to have over cooked it in all honesty. The idea is to get all the driver voicecoils the same distance from the listener :) If that is done then the crossover can be much simpler & the sound should improve..

Don't have a problem with time alignment of drives Mark, it has been done before, but this arrangement seems more driven by form than function, original concept courtesy of a dutch coffee shop and several splifs.... :mental:
They do look strangely beautiful, and from the rather strangled english review, a helluva lot of work (3 months?) simply to accomplish the shape, with little by way of the sonic nirvana expected for a 13k pricetag.....:lolsign:

There was a big hoo haa about them over on DIY audio. I really don't know in all honesty, but apparently the guy that designed them can't let on how they are made due to something to do with the US government as they are used in military stuff. That was originally why they were developed apparently :scratch:

In all honesty it sounds like pure snake oil, but what do I know :rfl:

I can't imagine what the military applications are but I'll wager they are nothing to do with improving sound quality ('Now listen to how good this Quantum Purified M16 sounds when it fires' :scratch:) - at several thousand dollars they are not exactly giving them away either...

I like to keep an open mind with this sort of thing, I've seen some impossible stuff in my life. I suispect it is just another way to part wealthy Californians from their money but I couldn't be sure about that. One thing about these super-expensive, super high tech tweaks - you never encounter an enthusiast, no matter how rich, who has even considered them let alone bought them.
