Hi Julian.

I've never come across this before - though I've used a camera lens cleaner that works on the same principle.

How effective did you find it? I see you've now got an RCM, so maybe you weren't sold on the liquid treatment ?

I guess the time it takes to dry could be a pain ...

Hi Bob,

I never got to use the stuff but thought it looked quite interesting!

No matter how effective it might be I think it's the time it takes for the glue to dry which is the real negative. I certainly wouldn't be ditching your RCM any time soon!

Yes - that's the impression I got from the discussion on that other thread.

I guess we're always on the lookout for a miracle cleaner/cartridge/TT/DAC etc :rolleyes: It never comes along . . . :(

it's good to use in conjunction with an RCM, I've cleaned a couple of heavily crud plastered records by treating with the Reviginizer first then cleaning on the Moth.

Good idea. I've some really crackly records off fleabay that so far haven't responded much to the RCM. Just trying a second wash. It's a shame 'cos the quality of sound behind the crackle is first rate :(

Doubtful, but might give a pretty good Brazilian. Got to be worth a try.

Could be - though it could also be indicative of poor quality vinyl used in the record's manufacture (some late-80s records seem especially to suffer from this), or a bad pressing.

Also, you can get records that are visually fine but crackly that improve greatly after a good clean on a record cleaning machine.
