I've been browsing several audio forums & looking to get feedback on my system choices. I've re-intoduced a turntable into my system, as well as a vintage integrated amp. Welcome to AoS from me too. I've never seen one of those Heirlooms in the flesh - I don't suppose too many of them (if any at all) got across to the UK. One or two of us here recognise the potential in the old AR design though, so it's not all Technics turntable talk!

As Alex mentioned, it would be great if you could tell us a bit more about your system & music.

I currently am listening to an old Sony Linear drive CD player which has been modified by Walter Romanyshyn of S.A.R. LABS here in Winnipeg where I live. The sony has a variable output. I listen to it direct into my S.A.R. Labs Mos-400 power amp (200 wpc.) through 10" Tannoy Gold monitors in home made cabinets. I puchased these speakers from a fellow who had built the cabinets as a teenager so you can imagine how terrible they look:lol:, however they sound every bit as good as they're ugly.:trust: I'm shopping for a phono stage to go with the turntable.
I also am in the process of upgrading a Scott 299B integrated tube amp.

Lots of irons in the fire.

I have to wait a week to post some more images of my system on this thread.
If I can get some up sooner I will. I could post some on my web page check out
(www.audiofyle.com) in a day or 2.

To Barry: I'm going to post some pics in Gallery section within 7-10 days.
As to my music taste, it's pretty eclectic Love the singer,songwriter, story tellers, prog rock, Mark Knopfler, Van Morrisson, Leonard Cohen, Johnny Cash, Moby. if I like it I buy it got to hear it first. Starting to get into Classical. Love Jazz fusion, Santana, 10 Years after.
